The BRP Rubber Mounted SUB "Scotts Under Bar" Adapter is a device that is designed to reduce rider fatigue by isolating vibration with the help of (8) Poly-Urethane bushings. The harsh impact of hitting square edge rocks and obstacles is softened by these bushings. There are two different durometer bushings available with this adapter to fine-tune the amount of vibration dampening.
The BRP Rubber Mounted DM-SUB Kit includes a BRP Rubber Mounted SUB Adapter, sets of rubber bushings (Red = Medium and Blue = Soft), a low-profile stem bolt, four aluminium cones, and all the necessary hardware. It also comes with a Scotts Frame Bracket & Dust Cover, an Hour-meter relocation bracket, and all the required hardware. We recommend using a Clean Speed Cable Guide (sold separately) to ensure proper cable routing.
This adapter is designed to mount a Scotts stabilizer below the handlebar, using your OEM cast or billet triple clamp. By mounting to the existing rear bar mount holes, it allows you to run in position 3, which is the most popular position. It offers several advantages over a conventional "above-bar" setup and is becoming a popular setup for GP's, motocross, off-road, dual-sport applications, and riders of taller stature.
By sub-mounting a stabilizer, you get an approximately 1" taller bar position, and lower bend bars can be used to compensate for additional height. Additionally, sub-mounting reduces the risk of bodily injury, and the stabilizer is tucked away and protected from potential damage from a crash.
- Offers an approximately 1″ taller bar position
- Lower Bend Bars can be used to compensate for additional height.
- SUB Mounting reduces the risk of bodily injury
- Stabilizer is tucked away and protected from potential damage from a crash.
Special notes: When running a stabilizer in the sub-mount configuration, the stabilizer link arm will need to be reverse-mounted, going under the body of the unit. To reverse the link arm, we recommend using a Scotts Link Arm Puller (sold separately). This unit cannot be used with Cycra center-reach mount handguards.
